2021–24, Video and sound (excerpt: various lengths).

–  Hawāmesh al-Marj documents my encounter with a herd of cows living beneath the Autobahn. I made these videos during extended lunch breaks, made-up sick leave, and on my way to-and-from a local theatre in Mülheim an der Ruhr where I was working. Chronicled as fragments of sound and film from different times and seasons, this essay attempts to capture my awe of these wonderful animals, the not-so-wonderful Autobahn and the conflicting rhythms of everyday life in this meadow.  

– Space: an industrial meadow between Duisebrg and Mülheim an der Ruhr.

– Ingredients: cows, autobahn, river stream, little creek, local birds, migrating birds, factory, chimneys, windmill, cars, cars carrying electric bikes, trucks carrying electric cars, trains, planes, graffiti rivalry between people with opposing politics, barking dogs, (illigal) raves, (legal) music festival, and so on.

– يوثّق هذا العمل يوميّات قطيع من الأبقار يعيش قرب الطريق السريع (الأوتوبان). وتتجلّى هذه الهوامش في شذرات صوتية وبصرية من أزمنة وفصول مختلفة، ممتدّة على مدار سنوات عدّة، وُثّقت خلال استراحات الغداء، وتنقّلاتي اليومية إلى مسرحٍ محلّي في مولهايم آن دير رور حيث كنت أعمل.

– الفضاء: مرج يقع ضمن المنطقة الصناعية في الرور شمال ألمانيا..

– العناصر: أبقار، أوتوبان، مجرى النهر، جدول صغير، طيور محلية، طيور مهاجرة، مصنع، مداخن، طواحين هواء، سيارات، سيارات تحمل دراجات كهربائية، شاحنات تحمل سيارات كهربائية، قطارات، طائرات، كلاب تنبح، منافسة غرافيتي بين أشخاص ذوي توجهات سياسية متعارضة، حفلات صاخبة (غير قانونية)، مهرجان موسيقى (قانوني)، وما إلى ذلك.
